Ingredients
  

Matcha Latte Base
  • 1 tsp ceremonial grade matcha powder sifted for smoothness
  • 1/4 cup hot water around 175°F / 80°C, not boiling
Latte & Assembly
  • 1 cup milk of choice oat, soy, almond, cashew, or dairy
  • 1 cup ice cubes small cubes melt slower
  • 1 tsp sweetener (optional) maple syrup, agave, or simple syrup

Equipment

  • Bamboo Matcha Whisk (Chasen)
  • Small Bowl or Chawan
  • Tall Glass

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl or chawan, whisk 1 tsp matcha powder with 1/4 cup hot (not boiling) water using a bamboo whisk until frothy and smooth.
  2. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  3. Pour the whisked matcha mixture over the ice.
  4. Add 1 cup of cold milk of choice. Sweeten to taste if desired and stir well to combine.
  5. Enjoy immediately for the freshest taste and vibrant texture.

Notes

For a Starbucks-style iced matcha latte, double the matcha (2 tsp) and add 1–2 tsp simple syrup. Customize with flavors like vanilla, lavender, or strawberry for a twist.
